TCC course 'Topics in Cube Complexes'. Running on Microsoft Teams, register on the Taught Course Centre.

Lectures will be every week 14:00 - 16:00 on Thursdays, starting 12th October 2023. They happen on Microsoft Teams, but also in room G.11 in the Fry Building at the University of Bristol.

No prior knowledge of cube complex geometry is needed for the course. Some familiarity with Algebraic Topology, in particular knowing what a fundamental group is, would be useful.

Topics I aim to cover within eight lectures: special cube complexes, branching constructions, Bestvina-Brady Morse theory, non-hyperbolic finitely presented subgroup of a hyperbolic group.

There will be two (optional) exercise sheets.
